You'll be cooking with gas on glass when you use the Culina UBGOG60BK Four Burner Gas Hob. This appliance has a glass surface, which is smooth and often easier to wipe clean then a standard gas hob would be. The gas element offers a power source than can be more controllable than an electric ceramic alternative and produces heat quickly. Each burner is protected by a Flame Failure Safety Device, an interrupter that can stop the flow of gas automatically if the pilot light is extinguished. There is an auxiliary, two semi-rapid and a rapid burner to choose from which have power levels of up to 1 kWh, 1.75 kWh and 3 kWh respectively. They are protected by cast-iron frames and burner lids, which are removable so can easily be maintained by washing them in a sink or dishwasher. Ignition is automatic, with a simple turn of any of the four control knobs at the front of the hob activating the relevant burner. This model can be adapted to use bottled fuel, through an LPG conversion kit, so it's not strictly restricted to mains gas.
