Botanical Name: Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri' Pot Size: 19cm Hanging Pot

Asparagus Fern is not a true fern, but a member of the lily family (Liliaceae).

Long, arching stems densely covered with short, needle-like leaflets give this plant a delicate appearance. It has a cascading habit that makes it ideal for a hanging basket. Or set this ornamental trailer on a multi-level plant stand. Its feathery foliage blends in beautifully with other humidity-loving house plants. 

 

Light Conditions: Best suited to a bright location, not direct sunlight. Avoid any Draughts.

Water: Water abundantly let the soil ball dry out in between each watering.

Temperature & Humidity: Can adjust to a wide range of temperatures above 5°C-18°C, Use a water mister on its foliage if the air is too dry.

Height & Growth Rate: Moderately fast growth, 50cm x 100cm long + 

Feed: Give it a light dose of fertiliser every fortnight from May to September.  

Origin: South Africa

Toxicity: Berries are Toxic if ingested.
